 Sport Premium Funding

As part of the 'Olympic Legacy', the government announced that it was providing additional funding of £150 million per annum to improve provision of Physical Education (PE) and sport in primary schools.  This funding - provided jointly by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport - is allocated directly to primary schools. The money must be used to improve the provision of PE and school sport.

In our school PE, Sport, additional extra-curricular clubs and competitive opportunities have always been a high priority.  We regularly compete and have had great local and regional success qualifying for regional Youth Games each year.  We have taken forward teams to Level Three competitions in Tag Rugby, Tennis, Netball and Hockey.

In addition all children take part in high quality PE within the curriculum.  Sport funding has allowed us to extend and develop our provision and opportunities for children.

Any parents or member of our community with skills and an interest in supporting our Sports work, please do get in touch.
