Keeping Children Safe

We believe that everyone shares a responsibility to keep children safe. We are fortunate to have a close community here on camp, but this can, itself, feel deceptively 'secure'.

We would encourage any parent who has concerns about the welfare of a child to talk to a member of staff, who may pass this information to the Designated Senior Lead for child protection (Mr. Campbell).

In addition, our child protection policy (see 'Policies' above) provides further details. We also recently sent a letter out to all parents detailing some of the ways the community can help keep children safe, and offering helpful numbers for 'out of hours' support; this can be found here. In addition to this information, NSPCC offer a line that any adult, with any concerns about a child can call at any time: 0808 800 5000. Please always share your concerns.

For specific information on online safety, please see our separate page, or click here.

Guidance for Parents

The NSPCC  provides some really helpful guidance, especially about the risks of being away from home, playing out, walking home, visiting friends etc.

We recommend parents visit their website (below) and look at the following leaflet which offers some great advice on keeping your children safe.
